Hello my dear followers,
I will be going away for the two coming weeks and will not be as available as usual. If you contact me, I will get back to you as soon as possible but know it might take a day or two.
I will first be going to a sesshin, a meditation retreat in Finland, where my “home center” is. For those who are curious, I practice Zen with Ordinary Mind – a Zen school founded by Charlotte Joko Beck and her Dharma successors in 1995. Then I’m off to three days of learning ISTDP (Intensive Short Term Dynamic Psychotherapy) in Stockholm.
In the mean time I wish to encourage you to reflect on what is home to you? “I will be right back”, what will I be back to? What constitutes my home? For me it’s a combination of a feeling that I’m always at home because I know where I have myself and my love for what’s precious to me carries me – and also my real-life relationships and my physical home. I guess I could sum it up as love and support, both physical and mental, are home to me.
I wish you all a crisp October!
